We are working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in the Alum Rock area that is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Year 4 Class Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed teacher to inspire and support pupils as they progress through Key Stage 2, helping them to build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN and EAL
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using data to inform teaching
- Promote positive behaviour and high expectations for all learners
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and the wider school community
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 4 experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learning needs
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to teaching
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
