We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Alum Rock area that is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 3 Class Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to support pupils as they transition into Key Stage 2, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports all learners
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEN and EAL
- Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and learning
- Promote positive behaviour and a love of learning
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and the wider school team
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 3 experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
- A commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learning needs
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to teaching
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
