We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Alum Rock area that is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join their Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to play a key role in supporting children at the very start of their school journey, helping them to develop a love of learning in a nurturing and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
- Support children’s early development across all areas, including communication, language, social, and emotional skills
- Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its inclusive ethos
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ideally in a Reception setting
- A strong understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS curriculum
- A nurturing, patient, and creative approach to teaching
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
